GROUP COACHING PROGRAM

The Hawaii Triathlon Center and The Fitness Lab are excited to offer you a new menu of group coaching programs.  Our plans our designed to meet you at your current level and help you crush your SWIM BIKE RUN STRENGTH goals,


Short Course Programs are built around the local Oahu event calendar.  All programs are created by Whitney Burdzilauskas, USAT Level 2 Endurance Coach.  Workouts are programmed via Training Peaks.  You will need to have a Training Peaks Account to receive the weekly workouts.  Please RSVP for coached group workouts (see registration buttons below).

SHORT COURSE: BEGINNER

SHORT COURSE: INTERMEDIATE

SHORT COURSE: INTERMEDIATE


Goal of this training is for event completion. This is a great way to learn about triathlon with other new athletes.  Training has already begun.  


  • Swim Workouts are 800-1500 yards
  • Bike workouts are programmed using perceived exertion
  • Run workouts are programmed using perceived exertion 
  • Strength programming/optional 3 x Week 
  • This group will meet every at HTC every Saturday beginning June 12th. Upon graduation of the beginner program, athletes can start attending the weekly group workouts.

SHORT COURSE: INTERMEDIATE


Goal of this training is learning how to train and race more efficiently improve skill sets and improve aerobic capacity. Athletes will also be introduced to interval training, where they will begin learning how to utilize work/rest ratios for their fitness level.


This option is best for participants who have basic freestyle swimming skills, own a road or triathlon bike, and are comfortable working out for 30-60 minutes.  


  • Swim Workouts are 1500-2500 yards 
  • Bike workouts are programmed in  Perceived Exertion, dependent on purpose of workout. 
  • Runs are programmed using Perceived Exertion.
  • Strength programming/optional 3 x Week

FALL MARATHON TRAINING HONOLULU MARATHON


Goal of this training is learning how to train and race more efficiently, improve aerobic capacity, maximize knowledge of heart rate and power zones and increase speed.  


  • Swim Workouts are 2000-3000 yards
  • Bike workouts are programmed in HR and/or Power
  • Run workouts are programmed in HR and/or Pace
  • Strength programming/optional 3 x Week

Strength training is important for overall wellness and sports performance  With our affordable group strength program, you will get 3 workouts a week delivered to your email and True Coach Account.   Fitness Lab strength coaches will be hard at work designing your strength and mobility plan. We will have different options available based on equipment options.

$25/Month as an add on to custom coached clients

  • Choose Between 2 Different Options
    • 1. Simple:  You will need dumbbells, short and long bands, a step or box, optional kettlebells
    • 2. Barbell: You will need all of the above + barbell, TRX or Rings and Swiss Ball.

  • $25/Month
  • Receive 3 workouts per week uploaded to your training peaks account
  • Workouts are pre built in Training Peaks Workout Builder
  • They can be uploaded into swift, garmin or your platform of choice.
